The Constantine Judicial Council announced the arrest of 59 suspects, following the riots that took place at the Chahid Hamalaoui Stadium in Constantine on June 3, 2024.
According to a statement by the Constantine Court, 59 suspects were arrested, including 20 minors, and legal measures were taken against them, following the violence and riots that took place at the Martyr Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine on June 3, 2024.
The Constantine court statement added: “39 adult suspects were brought before the prosecution and prosecuted under immediate appearance procedures on charges of damaging state-owned property and basic facilities on the occasion of a sports demonstration, committing acts of violence, and assaulting members of the public force while performing their duties with premeditation and premeditation, and carrying cold weapons.”
The statement continued: “The case was postponed to the 6/20/2024 session at the request of the defense, with an order to place 37 defendants in temporary detention.”
The court statement concluded: “Investigations are continuing with the remaining persons whom the investigation reveals to be involved in criminal acts, and they will be presented as soon as the investigations are completed.”
