Three soldiers were martyred during a clash with a terrorist group in the 5th Military Region of Tebessa, after which the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and Lieutenant General Saeed Chengriha, offered their deep condolences to the families of the martyrs.
On Friday, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, offered his condolences to the families of the three soldiers who were martyred during a clash with a terrorist group in the military sector territory of Tebessa in the Fifth Military Region.
The text of President Tebboune’s condolences stated: “The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, extends his sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of our three martyrs, who fell on the field of honor while bravely defending Algeria and its security against the remnants of the terrorist forces of evil and obscurantism, in the Fifth Military Region.”
He added: “As we offer our condolences to all members of the People’s National Army, we bow with reverence before the pure souls of the martyrs, praying to God Almighty to accept them into the Garden of Bliss and to bestow His mercy upon them in these last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan. We belong to God and to Him we shall return. Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs.”
Lieutenant General Saïd Chengriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, also extended, in his own name and in the name of all employees of the People’s National Army, his deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the 3 martyrs of the military, praying to the Most High and Almighty, in this holy month, to cover them with His vast mercy, to dwell them in His spacious gardens, and to inspire their families with patience and solace.
This is in continuation of the specific operation carried out by detachments of the People’s National Army, on Thursday night, at the level of the Tebessa Military Sector Territory in the Fifth Military Region. On Friday, the same detachments were able to eliminate other terrorists in the same region, bringing the death toll to (7) terrorists, including two princes, according to a statement by the Ministry of National Defense.
The statement stated, “Within the framework of combating terrorism and in continuation of the specific operation carried out by detachments of the People’s National Army on the night of Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the level of the Tebessa Military Sector Territory in the Fifth Military Region, on Friday, March 13, 2026, the same detachments were able to eliminate three other terrorists in the same region, and to recover three Kalashnikov machine pistols, bringing the total to seven terrorists, including two princes.”
“It concerns the terrorist Younis Saleh and the terrorist Haddad Bilal, along with the recovery of seven Kalashnikov machine pistols and a significant amount of ammunition, in addition to other items.”
