President Taboun: Africa demanding the destruction of its position in the global economy – Algerian dialogue

The President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Taboun, stressed that the fourth edition of the African Blind Trade Exhibition 2025, held in Algeria, comes in a very accurate and sensitive global circumstance, in which events accelerate unprecedentedly, threatening the collapse of the existing international relations system.

The President of the Republic explained, during his supervision of the opening of the exhibition, that this system has become threatened in its entity, rules, and political, security and economic institutions, noting that the fear is that Africa will again be one of the most prominent victims, by marginalizing its voice and reducing its role in the path of reshaping the global order, despite its energies and ingredients.

The President said in his speech: “Our meeting today is not just a demonstration. Rather, it is the embodiment of a collective awareness that takes us towards building an integrated and strong continent and active in its regional and international surroundings.”

He added that the betting today is essentially economical, and it is “my destiny concern” that imposes the raising of the fundamental question: “Where does Africa stand today from the global economy?”He pointed out that Algeria has achieved significant achievements during the past two decades by activating the African continental free trade zone, and the commercial joining of the African Union, as well as partnerships with major global economic powers and organizations.

However, the President of the Republic stressed that the road is still long to correct “historical grievances” against Africa, and to ensure its disintegration of the position that befits it in the international economic system.
